Finishing off the Weekend

Just adding a few more pictures from our nice, long, semi-alone weekend. We went to the North End for Italian on Sunday night with some friends, Misty and Paul. Then, Mon morning, Gabriel enjoyed playing with the water hose.

Back to normal here.

Memorial Weekend

We spent Saturday down in CT at a cousin's house. Gabriel had a blast, and wore himself out. He got to swim with daddy, jump on the trampoline, and he got to see Stella - and got a kiss from her this time.
Saturday night, we snuck out of Bacca and Pa's house and drove back home...without Gabriel. :o) No, no....they let us. So, we are spending Sunday alone, and picking up the boy on Monday.
Hope everyone has a nice long weekend!

4 Year Anniversary

Jonathan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday - alone. :o) We went to On Top of the Hub in Boston, and then to Finale for dessert. It was fantastic!! It was a beautiful night, and we just enjoyed being together. Here are a couple of pics.

Check out these desserts!!

Wanna Be Just Like Daddy

Jonathan put down some grass seeds in our semi-bare yard, and of course his little helper was there step for step. He has to help daddy with EVERYTHING.

(Bailey helped, too!)

Big Boy Bed

Well, it happened. And it happened on Mother's Day. :o( The beginning of the end. No...just the beginning of putting Gabriel in a safe, secure location. Now, he is able to roam free.

He has been crawling out his crib, I guess military style, because we never hear him hit the ground. We had it lowered to the lowest setting, and then, this morning, I hear him screaming at my door! He was in a total panic because he had escaped his room only to find the house empty, and our bedroom door closed. Jonathan and I discussed our options, and realized we should go ahead and make it a day bed before he does fall out and gets hurt.

It made me sad.

Mother's Day

What a perfect day.

Here are some pictures from this morning. I may redo and add to this later.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!!

Down in CT

We spent the day down in CT on Saturday, visiting Bacca, Paw and Aunt Jess. Then we went to a family get together where Gabriel got to play with his cousins. He had a great time. Such a good time he didn't nap at all. We are paying the price today. :o)

His cousin Stella is just a few days older than Gabriel. He kept trying to give her kisses, but she wasn't too interested. It would embarrass Gabriel, and he would come running back to us laughing. The cutie pie at the bottom is our cousin, Olivia. What a little doll!

A Night Out!

Jonathan was MC for an Academy Dinner last night. It was really nice. They recognized the kids (yes, kids!) - seniors in high school, that have been selected to go to the academy this year. It was a little stressful for Jonathan, and of course we were rushed leaving the house. But, it was nice to be out and relax on my part.

The General that Jonathan works for was there - and I have met him a few times at other functions. He actually walked up to me right before the dinner started (only me!) and asked if I was one of the new cadets for the academy! Hee...hee...I guess I'm aging better than I thought!

Gabriel's New Pool

We went out this week and bought a little pool for Gabriel since we were having some really hot days. He wasn't so sure about it at first. He wanted me to be in it, and throw stuff in at me. If I got out, he would point back to the pool and say "peeaassee". I think he will really enjoy it when we can get the water a little warmer in it.

Several Daddy Days

I have been sick for the past several days, so Jonathan has been home and on full time daddy-duty. Gabriel is loving spending so much time with his daddy. They went outside this weekend and picked flowers (lellow fower according to Gabriel) and played on the slides. When they came in, he ran over to me and handed me a nasty little smooshed flower. He was so excited.

Learning to Flip

Gabriel LOVES to flip. He has actually done it once on his own. But, usually, he'll lean over on his head and call for one of us to flip him. When he masters it, we'll video tape it.

Bath Time

ANOTHER picture of Jonathan in the bathtub. Just caught Gabriel in a good, feeling better mood. I think we are just about over his cold this week. Unfortunately, momma has the cold now, and I'm sure daddy will have it in a few days.

Sick Day

We have had a few sick days this week - today being one of our better days. Gabriel has learned to take his temp (sorta!). Also - a shout out to his Mimi for his first pair of boxer shorts!

Gabriel watches his daddy play hockey

Gabriel went to his daddy's first hockey game...was a little curious, scared and excited. Wasn't so sure about the helmet.
