Jingle Bell 5K

Jonathan and I ran another 5k this morning, and we both did well. Jonathan finished in 26 minutes, and I dropped 3 minutes from my first one with a 36 minute run. I was very proud. I'm sure I'll be posting another soon....I'm addicted. (We had to take our own pictures because our family wouldn't come support us.)

Christmas Show at School

Gabriel's preschool had a Christmas pageant last week, and he did, well, like I expected. He pretty much just stood there and looked at the other kids singing. But, he looked so darn cute in his matching-daddy outfit!

He was standing with his hands in his pockets! My little man.

Some catch up photos

I finally have my computer back up and running! So, here are some pictures to catch everyone up.
Gabriel and his friend, Carson, ATTEMPTING to build a gingerbread house. It looks better here than when they were finished.
Gabriel with his cousin, Cory, at a family Christmas party
The Chick-fil-a Cow was at the tree lighting, and Gabriel ran right up to him and hugged him

Rattling off to Santa what he wants for Christmas
Wow!! He actually sat in his lap!

Gabriel doesn't want Santa to see...

I came out of my room to find Gabriel jumping from the counter top to the sofa. Yes. I wasn't so happy. After fussing at him and threatening time out, I noticed that my 2' Santa that sits on the table next to the sofa was on the floor. When I inquired why this was, Gabriel told me he put him there so Santa wouldn't see him jump on the sofa.

I wonder if they makes the naughty list?

Gabriel being, well...Gabriel

I can't post pics yet, because our home computer crashed...sniff, sniff, and we are STILL trying to get something running. But, I can post a funny from the G-monster:

I picked him from school the other day and as I was buckling him in he told me that Mrs. Tracie told him to be quiet (this is his teacher). So I asked, "Did she tell EVERYONE to be quiet?" and he told me no...just him. So, I asked "Did you get timeout?" and he said "No, mommy, Mrs. Tracie told me to be quiet!" Trying to figure this out I asked "were you being loud?" and the answer....

"No mommy, I was just being funny."

My little comedian.

Look around, take a deep breath, and be thankful...

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching and Christmas right behind, I know we can all get a little overwhelmed and stressed, and after all is said and done we wonder why we missed it all. I saw this article and thought it was appropriate to post for a lot of my friends and family.

I'm sorry I don't have pictures....still waiting for the home computer to get fixed. So, maybe after Thanksgiving. :o)

It's Offical

Jonathan is Captain Scofield again. Gabriel and I went up to Lockheed on Wednesday, and got to see Jonathan be sworn in. I tried to be creative and take a long picture with the flag behind him, but, I was trying to watch the child going through sugar detox at the same time. That's the reason for no pictures with us in them.

Halloween with Buzz

So, this was actually the first year that Gabriel dressed up and that we took him Trick-or-Treating. He surprised us all when he wore the hat part of his costume...but he had such a fantastic time being Buzz Lightyear. We went with our friends next door, and also some other friends that have a little boy Gabriel's age. However, he didn't get into bed until 9:30 that night, and suffered from his sugar high for days. I was even told at school on Wednesday that he had a lot of energy that day. I came home and hid all the candy and told him that it was all gone. My child seems back to normal now.

The first few pictures are at Gabriel's school the week before Halloween. They had a fall party, so the parents were invited, and it tickled Gabriel to death to have his mommy at HIS school. (I enjoyed it a little bit, too!)

They made little pumpkin crafts

They are so darn cute!

Carving the Pumpkin

So, I got a little behind on my, I'm going to try to catch up this week. Here are a couple of pictures from the week before Halloween, when we actually carved the pumpkin.

Moonlight Madness

So, I ran my first 5k last night with Jonathan. It was the 29th Annual Moonlight Madness run in Douglasville. Our run didn't actually start until 9:00pm, so by then I was pretty nervous. But, I put my earphones in, kissed Jonathan bye (since he runs a bit faster than me) and we were off, with Kayne West singing 'Stronger' in my ears. 39 minutes later, I crossed the finished proud of myself!! So...........I've already signed up for another one in December. I'm hooked!

No pictures, though, since it was just Jonathan and I, and we were both running. Oh...Jonathan ran it in 24 minutes. :o) I was proud of him, too!

My Hotrod...and His New Car

Jonathan just got his car last week. Need I say more?

Fall Festival

We went to my dad and stepmother's annual fall festival, and unfortunately didn't get very many pictures. The ones we did get, I wasn't too thrilled about. :o) But here are a couple of Gabriel and his friend, Carson.

Dinner Standoff

So, some of you may know, that Gabriel is an absolute TERRIBLE eater. We make a big deal when ever he eats "real" food. So, the other night, Jonathan worked late, and it was just Gabriel and I. He ate two tiny bites of his corn dog, and was done. I got tired of sitting there waiting, so finally grabbed my camera.

Rocco patiently waiting in the background
I thought he was going to break here....but, no.
Then he decided it was funny that I was taking pictures.

Pumpkin Farm

We went to a beautiful place in north Georgia, called Burt's Pumpkin Farm. Our friends invited us along with a large group of people, and the kids had a blast. There were so many different pumpkins, even blue ones! Gabriel decided his favorite was a little white one, and we picked out a big one for daddy. We all got to ride the hayride, which I think was more of a treat for the adults, since we got to sit in the shade. All in all it was a very good day, and we are thankful for great friends.

Gabriel was explaining to me that he was picking flowers for me.
